The MASS collected coincident data in the Gulf of Mexico during 13 science flights over the course of LASER2016, with flight operations based out of Jack Edwards National Airport in Gulf Shores, Alabama. A Seabird Glider Payload CTD is also mounted along the keel of the float for both vehicle models in a low-profile enclosure to measure ocean conductivity, temperature, and depth.
